The building has sold..
Coming Soon - Thinking of Buying ?
Information
In December 2002 TIAA-CREF acquired Longwood Towers and retained
Lincoln Property Company to manage the complex.  In June 2005 the landlord
and management company commenced a capital improvement project to repair
the facade of the buildings as well as replace the windows.

The project commenced with tenants being out of their apartment for a business day.
As of now some tenants have been relocated for up to two months.  During this
time they have been locked out of their apartments while still having to pay rent and
utilities in their own unit.

Seniors in their 90s have been given four days to move, and families expecting the arrival of
a newborn were told they had to permit construction in their unit the week the baby was due
or they would face legal action.

The building is was sold to the RADCO Companies on November 7, 2005 with The Niles
Company appointed building managers.  On the d
ate of sale we were told by our members
told that over 25 leases that were not renewed by
TIAA-CREF were terminated.  This
included one long time resident in her 80s.
Out attorney informed RADCO's attorney and
tenants informed RADCO of the situtation.  We have been informed that extensions were
provided to tenants who requested it.
RADCO has not stated that they plan on converting
the complex to condominiums, but you can access their sales website -
www.longwoodtowerscondominiums.com - and decide for yourself.
