•        HIGHLIGHTS OF NOVEMBER 1st LONGWOOD TOWERS TENANTS ASSOCIATION
MEETING

Our State Representative, Michael J. Moran, told us that he and the State Legislative Housing
Committee are ready to help us.  They have already begun looking into the health and lead
issues and have contacted the Town of Brookline Health Dept.  The Town Health Dept. is
supposed to turn over copies of all their documents to Representative Moran.

As of November 1, 2005, Radco Companies, the prospective buyer, had delayed the closing
for the fourth time.

Longwood Towers has failed to provide any documentation to support their claim that the
window replacement and the façade work is a state mandated lead abatement project.  In the
absence of this documentation, TENANTS HAVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE TO RELOCATE.
TENANTS ALSO CAN REFUSE ENTRY INTO THEIR APARTMENT FOR THE FAÇADE WORK,
INCLUDING THE HANGING OF A PLASTIC BARRIER

We like to formally thank Rep. Moran as well as the other members of the State
Legislature who have voiced their support in our efforts.

Various state and Town of Brookline departments and agencies are turning over
documentation to Rep. Moran's office which will be reviewed by his staff and the staff of the
Housing Committee.  Some tenants at the meeting have requested we seek a Temporary
Restraining Order blocking further construction.   We are investigating.

Additional interest has arisen from newspapers in Boston to cover our continued
plight.  If you are interested in being interviewed please contact us via the Contact US tab or call
617.487.6082.
